Your baby will measure about 10 inches long and weigh about three quarters of a pound by the end of this month. Its kidneys now make urine. Hairs begin to appear on its head and eyebrows and eyelashes begin to grow. It starts a growth spurt in both length and weight. Baby’s movements may become strong enough by the end of the month to be felt by mother.
Your uterus grows to just below your navel by the end of this month. Your weight starts to increase to about ¾ to 1 pound a week. You may gain 3-4 pounds this month. Your appetite increases, so you may be hungry more often. Craving may start for certain foods. Your pregnancy is now beginning to show. You are less tired and fatigued now. You may find that you are beginning to enjoy pregnancy now.
Get your prenatal check up. Continue to eat a well balanced diet, with plenty of protein fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid cigarettes and alcohol. Get exercise every day. Lie down with your feet slightly elevated on a pillow for at least 30 minutes a day.
